Happy Thanksgiving week to all of you !! I am actually in my office here in Nashville all week and get to take a few days off the road to just be home, cook and spend time with family and friends.
If you aren't on Motivational Monday I encourage you to sign up and be part of my weekly enewsletter. I wrote this week about turning Thanksgiving into Thanks- Living. If you want a copy of that email simply email me personally, Dale@WinnersbyChoice.com and I will forward you this weeks message.
I am so thankful to post the picture of my son Nick this week. As many of you may know, he is a professional driver in the sport of drifting. This past weekend we had the last race of our series and Nick took 1st place. He has been on the podium all season but we were thrilled to end the season with a 1st place win here in our hometown of Nashville.
Nick is such a talented driver and he is such a competitor in this sport that is very subjective. I was so proud of his talent on Saturday but the thing I was most proud of was watching the influence that Nick has among his peers and those that know him. Time and again someone came to our pit and told me how incredible Nick had been to them and what an incredibly nice guy he was. It was such a blessing to watch the media and the organizers of the event be so excited for Nick's win.
We never know in this life how our kind words or actions effect someone else. I got an email this week from someone that had been forwarded Motivational Monday by her boss. She told me that her boss, Nancy, just loved the message and forwarded it to them. She wanted to let me know that Nancy was killed tragically in a car accident last week and she wanted me to know that my writing had truly mattered to her. I can't explain how that felt. There are so many days when I am struggling to find the right message to share that I wonder if anyone is really reading it. It's days like these that I have to remind myself that my job is to write and give and leave the results to God. I will always think of Nancy now everytime I write a message and especially everytime I am struggling to wonder if it really matters.
Take some time this week. Share a kind word. Share a smile. Plant a seed of hope in someone's life. You never know what difference it will make.
Nancy .. this one is for you !!
